ROYAL DRIFT SERIES BECOMES PART OF THE GLOBAL WALLY DRIFT TELEMETRY BY RACE DATA LABS

SHANGHAI, CHINA — 9 APRIL — Royal Drift Series today announced a new collaboration with Race Data Labs to introduce the Wally Drift Telemetry System as part of the championship’s sporting and broadcast environment for the 2026 season.

Through this collaboration, Royal Drift Series will integrate Wally into event operations as an advanced telemetry, replay, and judging-support platform designed to give officials, drivers, teams, and fans deeper visibility into every run. The system records vehicle movement with centimeter-level precision and enables detailed 3D replay analysis, including line, initiation, angle, proximity, and track-limit review.

As Royal Drift Series builds a new international championship platform in China, the introduction of Wally marks another step in the series’ commitment to modern officiating, stronger competitive transparency, and a more data-rich experience for participants and spectators alike. Royal Drift Series publicly positions the championship as a new international drifting series in China with five rounds in 2026 and a $1,000,000 season prize fund.

Wally will be used to support the competition process by providing judges and officials with precise reference tools during and after runs, while preserving the role of the official judging panel in determining sporting outcomes. In parallel, the system will create new opportunities for teams and drivers to review performance more accurately and for broadcasters and digital platforms to present drifting in a more visual, understandable, and engaging format.

“Royal Drift Series was created to raise the standard of drifting in China and to deliver a world-class championship for drivers, teams, partners, and fans,” said Leonid Shnayder, founder and owner ROYAL DRIFT SERIES. “Working with Race Data Labs and introducing Wally is an important step in that direction. It gives our officials stronger technical tools, gives our drivers more transparent performance data, and gives our audience a clearer and more immersive way to understand what happens in every run.

“Race Data Labs is proud to work with Royal Drift Series and support its vision for the future of drifting,” said Michael Vernuccio, Head Engineer, Race Data Labs. “Wally was built to bring objective insight, accurate replay tools, and meaningful data into drift competition. Royal Drift Series is an ambitious championship with an international outlook, and this collaboration is a strong opportunity to show how technology can support officials, teams, and fans without changing the spirit of the sport.”

The deployment scope, event-by-event usage, and broadcast integration of Wally will be communicated by Royal Drift Series in further sporting and operational updates ahead of the season.
